SONET Fundamentals

Course Length: 1 - 2 Days

Prerequisites:

DS1/DS3 or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of telecommunications transmission principles will also be useful for students taking this course. This course can be combined or customized to meet specific network requirements.

Course Objectives:

As a one day class, this is designed as a technology overview and testing class. It will introduce the student to SONET and the applications passing the SONET frame. Test and network equipment will customize this course and can create a two day class.
