Course Length: 1 Day – Certification Course

Prerequisites:

General wireless knowledge. Antenna construction practices and antenna line sweep testing are a plus, but not required. An on-line version of the theory section is available but does not provide certifications.

Course Objectives:

Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing is now a standard for radio site commissioning and certification. Wireless carriers are requiring PIM testing at new sites and existing installations in an effort to increase call quality and data rates.

The student will learn what PIM is, how it is tested and the difference between PIM testing and other antenna testing techniques.

Note: The class is more than 50% hands-on with test equipment, antenna network simulations and verifications associated with instrument operation. A wallet card showing successful completion will be issued to those attending and passing the tests
